Backpacks for the homeless
Akron only allows someone to stay somewhere (outside) for 7 days before you have to pack up and move. The homeless often end up keeping their entire life in a backpack. Volunteer to help fill and distribute, donate so we can deliver more, or help spread the word.
Tents for the homeless
The homeless don’t have the luxury of a roof over their head. Tents are often the only thing keeping homeless dry, warm, and protected from the elements.
Feeding the homeless
This is a monthly run that a group of people go into the streets and find the homeless in their underground camps. We bring a hot, home-cooked meal along with supplies like backpacks, sleeping bags, camping showers, sternos, and more.
Homecooked Meals
Not everyone has the comforts of “home” and are missing things we often take for granted like a hot, home-cooked meal. Once a week we serve a home-cooked meal to the homeless community. These aren’t sack lunches—this is grandma’s chicken and dumplings or something hearty, healthy, and delicious.
We serve the homeless, sit with them, minister to them, and help them in every way we can. This is such an awesome, humbling experience and we welcome those who want to serve with us.

“I do not believe one can settle how much we ought to give. I am afraid the only safe rule is to give more than we can spare. In other words, if our expenditure on comforts, luxuries, amusements, etc, is up to the standard common among those with the same income as our own, we are probably giving away too little.”

C.S. Lewis
